The Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training collaborative (ASERT) is hosting two upcoming resource fairs in the Philadelphia area, one tomorrow (June 6th) and one on Saturday (June 8th).  

The Medical Home Team and the rest of the PA AAP staff are thrilled to be participating in this year's Playworks Philly Recess Day!  Play is a crucial part of childhood for children with and without special needs - by joining the Philadelphia community in a half hour of play on Tuesday, June 4th, the PA AAP hopes to raise awareness about the importance of advocating playtime for all children.  

The PA Department of Health has released an updated version of their Transition Health Care Checklist for distribution.  The checklist is an invaluable resource for families and providers throughout PA who work with young adult with special needs.  Click "read more" to download your copy in English or Spanish!

Join the UPMC Palliative & Supportive Institute (in conjunction with other partners) on Friday, May 31st or Saturday, June 1st for the Second Annual Palliative Care Conference.  Day 1 (5/31) will focus on clinical information for health care professionals, and Day 2 (6/1) will bring community and family members together for education and support.

Tomorrow evening, ABOARD's Autism Connection of PA is hosting a FREE workshop for families of CYSHCN who have set up a special needs trust for their family member.  Registration is required, and there is a limited number of seats left!

A few weeks ago, we posted about one of the Special Kids Network's Parent Youth Professional Forums (PYPF) in King of Prussia, PA.  There are several additional PYPFs taking place throughout the state in May and June, and families of CYSHCN are encouraged to attend!  Click "read more" to get details about a PYPF taking place near you.

On Tuesday, May 21st, Cathy Roccia-Meier of the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University will present a FREE workshop for parents and caregivers of CYSHCN at Shriners Hospital for Children.
