On April 17th, the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Related Disorders (LEND) program at the University of Pittsburgh will be hosting a conference about youth-centered transition to adult health care.  Get details about this conference by clicking "read more" below!

Late last month, members of the Council on Children with Disabilities (Section on Oral Health) released a statement in Pediatrics about oral health care for children with developmental disabilities.  "Read more" for the full text of this statement and to access oral health resource for your patient or child.

Since 2012, the United Nations has officially recognized March 21st as World Down Syndrome Day.  The National Down Syndrome Society, in conjuction with local and national advocacy organizations, encourages people with Down syndrome and their friends, families and supporters to "celebrate the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome on March 21st," so click "read more to learn how you can get involved!

The Children's Hospital Advisory Network for Guidance and Empowerment (CHANGE) at Children's in Pittsburgh is hosting "Your Voice, Your Choice, Your Health," an informational event at the Children's Home of Pittsburgh for youth with special health care needs.  Click "read more" for info.

Tomorrow (February 27th), CHOP's Center for Autism Research is hosting a Next Steps Workshops for Families.  This workshop is geared towards parents of young children newly diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Registration is still open, so click "read more" to get started!

On Tuesday, February 19th, the Pennsylvania System of Care Partnership is hosting two webinars on the Children's Mental Health Awareness Day toolkit.  Although CMHA Day isn't until May, it's never too early to start planning how you can help raise awareness!
